Vrail was once a Le-Matoran on the Isle of Ouir Nui.
Biography[]
The Journal of Vrail[]
Vrail became a Toa Ouir along with five other Matoran.
Later, he successfully battled and defeated Makuta Tarel, destroying the Makuta's antidermis in the process. However, Tarel was highly respected by the Makuta of neighboring islands, and had been wearing the Kraahkan on loan from Teridax. Thinking that Teridax's Kanohi had been destroyed in the fight, the Makuta Boeax and Keitos decided to kill Vrail by destroying Ouir Nui.
After the three Time Crystals were collected by the Toa Terax, they combined them with the rediscovered Amplified Kanohi Kualsi that Turaga Sāh Metu had once worn and created the Kanohi Vahualsi, intending to use it to travel back in time to steal and hide (or destroy) the Kraahkan before it could reach Tarel.
Thaios[]
Using a time rift created by the Vahualsi, Vrail took himself and Toa Terax Vayho many years back in time to when he was still a Matoran. After they did so, Vrail changed his name to "Thaios" and became the Toa Uoas of Air and later a Turaga Uoas. He then became one of the elders of Ouir Nui along with Vayho, now known as "Kulia". Years later, shortly before their younger selves traveled back in time, Thaios and Kulia informed them that they were really Vrail's and Vayho's older selves. Kulia then used the Vahualsi to send Vrail and Vayho through a time rift, after which the mask was subsequently destroyed after it got sucked into a stray time rift leading to a time before the Matoran Universe was built. Kulia's acts were witnessed by Makuta Quozek, who had been sent to find the missing Kraahkan and return it to Teridax. He returned and reported what he had seen, but his claims were dismissed as insanity. Nevertheless, Boeax and Keitos canceled their plans to destroy Ouir Nui upon finding that the Kraahkan had not been destroyed.

Vrail transformed into the Toa Ouir of Air.
Mask & Tools[]
Vrail originally wore a Miru as a Toa Ouir, but switched to a Ruru after he traveled back in time and became Toa Uoas Thaios.
