Tiro Canyon was a large canyon in Po-Wahi on the Isle of Mata Nui.

History

Tiro Canyon was brought into being when the Great Cataclysm caused the Great Spirit Mata Nui's camouflage system to activate, creating the Isle of Mata Nui.

During the Bohrok Invasion, Toa Mata Pohatu, Onua, and Kopaka planned a trap in the canyon to incapacitate a swarm of Tahnok. Onua dug a tunnel from the canyon to the sea, and Kopaka sealed the hole with Ice, creating a dam. When the Tahnok arrived, Pohatu kicked a boulder and shattered the ice, allowing seawater to flood the canyon.

Capitalizing upon the weakened Tahnok's vulnerability, Gali dove into the waters and retrieved many of the Bohrok's Krana, though they attempted to stop her by boiling the water as she left. However, the swarm escaped by melting handholds into the wall of the canyon using their Fire Shields. Gali and Pohatu evaded them by using the levitation powers of their Golden Kanohi, the others having already left.

The Canyon was destroyed by the reawakened Bohrok swarms during their cleansing of the island, and was later wiped from existence by the Great Spirit's reawakening.
