Razor Whale

Razor Whales are giant, placid Rahi.
History[]
The Razor Whale species was created by the Makuta using Viruses and Liquid Protodermis as one of the Rahi to inhabit the Matoran Universe.
A small population of Razor Whales lived in the Silver Sea surrounding Metru Nui. Toa Hordika Nokama made an extra effort to protect these creatures from the Visorak Boggarak, but since few specimens were seen off the Mata Nui coast, it is unknown how successful she was.
However, it is known that Razor Whales successfully migrated to the area of Aqua Magna near the entrance of the Pit, establishing a permanent habitat near the Razor Whale's Teeth. Nocturn frequented this area to defeat and devour the Whales, his favorite food.
Abilities & Traits[]
Razor Whales are extremely peaceful, and have no natural predators. They have a row of spines down their tail which usually are enough to scare off predators; even Matoran fishing boats try to evade the whales. At some time in the whale's life, the spines in its tail fall off, strangely making them easier to tame.
Razor Whales are said to have some relation to the smaller Razorfish.
Trivia[]
- The Razor Whale was sent as an entry in to The LEGO Group as part of the LEGO Magazine Rahi-building Contest. It was created by Lawrence Vanderbush and given a name and story role by Greg Farshtey in the book BIONICLE: Rahi Beasts.
- The Matoran in the picture is non-canon, merely present to demonstrate that the Rahi can be tamed. Its mask is non-canon as well, as Matoran Kanohi in the shape of Kanohi Nuva have never been forged.
