The Nåk are Sebåu that have been mutated, either by the Followers of Rehkit or even by Āpep himself, through means of Energized Protodermis, into elite warriors with enhanced fortitude and heightened tactical capabilities.

History

Locations

These over-sized troglodyte members of the Beţshu were found primarily beneath the Isle of Kemet Nui, although on very rare occasions a few had also been sighted elsewhere. The presence of a Nåk anywhere on the surface of the Isle of Kemet Nui has always been extremely rare and there are never more than one Nåk in the same vicinity at any given time.

There was a time when the various different breeds of Sebåu, including the occasional Nåk, were fairly common within enormous caverns, deep beneath the Ta-she Lowlands on the Isle of Kemet Nui, however no Matoran has seen a single Sebåu in the relatively peaceful millennia that have followed the Fall of Āpep, at least none that lived to tell about it.

Abilities & Traits

The power level of an average Nåk exceeds that of a novice Toa and they are on the order of roughly one-thousand typical Sebåu. The average Nåk leadership-style is considered by most to be cruel, vicious, brutal, and overpowering, not only for their opponents, but also for their subordinates. Furthermore, the Nåk are not as blindly loyal as the rest of the Sebåu and will place the ideal of their own self-preservation above that of their mission.

Tools

Like other Sebåu, Nåk are capable of acquiring and maintaining their own weaponry and most prefer a Meteor Hammer due to its' similarity to the chain used by their unenhanced brethren, meanwhile they retain the wicked, needle-like claws that aid in near-range combat. The wings of a Nåk are advanced to the point of being able to perform powered flight and their intellect is frighteningly sharp.
